Having left his job as a kindergarten teacher, Riki Takeda started participating in a theater company, “Chelfich” as an actor. Since 2012, he is making performances as director. Materials of his performances are “Thread telephones” or “Town” or “Takoyaki”. And he is researching folk art in Asia.
The following performances are made out of the structure of those folk arts. He is trying to find an origin of society from Asian folk performing arts and also making performances to think about the modern world together with audiences. Fellow artist of Arts Commission Yokohama2016.
