ANINO SHADOWPLAY COLLECTIVE

The Anino Shadowplay Collective, formed in 1996, is a group of multimedia artists committed to popularising the art of shadowplay. Its members come from diverse backgrounds; educators, cultural workers, visual artists, musicians and theatre practitioners are amongst its core members. It undertakes live performances, exhibitions, video, animation and workshops often in collaboration with educational and art institutions and occasionally with commercial establishments. Anino has performed and conducted workshops at CASA San Miguel, CCP, Museo Pambata, University of the Philippines, Blacktown Arts Centre, Performance Space at Carriage Works and other social, cultural and educational institutions.

To date, it has participated in five international art and puppetry festivals (Greece, 2001; Scotland, 2007; Vietnam, 2008; Indonesia 2013, 2014 and 2016; and Cambodia 2015).
