Yenyen De Sarapen is an Independent Mascot who revolutionizes the identities and preconceived notions of what a Costumed Character is. From questioning the identity of a Character Performer (better known as a "Mascoteer") as an enlarged version of the self, to the critical detachment of the mascot to its roots of conception, the characteristics of Yenyen de Sarapen are framed to offer discourses on hegemony, social responsibility, accountability, and a sense of pathos.

Yenyen de Sarapen is an amplified voice to the misunderstood, to the marginalized due to a society's hailing of ideologies (Althusser), to the oppressed. Yenyen De Sarapen is a giant to extremely hold dear and safeguard the battle cry of many advocacies.
